Pedro Leon going to Real Madrid

MADRID, July 3 -- Spanish football giants Real Madrid are poised to buy Pedro Leon from neighbours Getafe, sports daylies AS and Marca said on Saturday.

Reports said that Getafe president Angel Torres met with Real's director general Jorge Valdano on Friday in the Estadio Bernabeu, and agreed on a 10 million euro (12.54 million dollars) transfer fee for the Spanish Under-21 international.

So far, neither of the clubs have made an official announcement about the deal.

Leon, 23, is a tall and powerful inside-right with an eye for goals. Last season he scored nine goals for Getafe and helped them finish a club best sixth for a place in the Europa League.

Last week Real announced the signing of Argentine left-winger Angel Di Maria from Portuguese champions Benfica for 25 million euros.
